- Plan daily workloads and prepare tools and materials in advance
- Assign tasks to team members and ensure high-quality, timely completion
- Enforce company standards, safety protocols, and crew discipline
- Train team members using company processes (Job Sequencing, Gardener Training Series, etc.)
- Cross-train future leaders within your crew
- Maintain a clean, professional appearance on site and in company uniform
- Serve as point of contact for clients and address their needs or concerns
- Proactively communicate customer issues or site updates to management
- Help identify safety risks or site issues for customer and company awareness
- Conduct site inspections and maintain work to spec
- Keep daily punch lists to manage job quality and priorities
- Ensure all safety protocols, PPE usage, and tailgate meetings are followed
- Keep crew vehicles, trailers, and equipment clean, organized, and functional
- Track equipment condition and follow maintenance and inventory schedules
- Complete inspections and reports (Vehicle Safety, Trailer Safety, Equipment Repairs)
- Be accountable for proper use and care of tools and vehicles
- Read and complete required forms and logs (e.g., LMRs, spray requests, accident reports)
- Help organize and implement work schedules
- Report irrigation issues or needed repairs to management
- Assist with crew performance reviews and tracking goals
- Prior experience in landscaping or grounds maintenance
- Strong communication and leadership skills (English and/or Spanish preferred)
- Able to lift up to 60 lbs and work outdoors in all conditions
- Comfortable using tools, mowers, blowers, trimmers, and more
- Valid state driver’s license and acceptable driving record (preferred)
- Ability to read schedules, safety procedures, and follow written instructions
